Before you meet
Read the listing carefully and ask specific questions about faults, ownership and the reason for selling.
- Be cautious of prices far below similar items or pressure to act immediately.
- Never send a deposit to reserve an unseen item.
- Keep the listing link and a record of the conversation.
Inspect before paying
Arrange a safe, public meeting where possible. Tell someone where you are going and consider taking a trusted person with you.
- Test the item and its important functions yourself.
- For large items, agree a safe inspection location and bring someone with you.
- For vehicles or valuable goods, consider an independent professional inspection and check ownership documents.
Protect your money and personal details
Pay the seller directly only after inspection and acceptance. We do not offer checkout, escrow or payment guarantees.
- Never share PINs, passwords or one-time codes.
- Sellers should confirm money has actually arrived rather than trust a screenshot or SMS.
- Avoid unexpected links claiming you must pay a marketplace or delivery fee.
Report a suspicious listing
Use Contact Us and select “Report a safety concern”. Include the item link and factual details. If money has been lost, contact your bank promptly. If a crime or immediate danger is involved, contact the appropriate local authorities.

A listing review does not establish a seller’s identity or guarantee an item’s condition, authenticity or ownership. You remain responsible for deciding whether to proceed.
